So, here are the results of my experiments on it:

EXPT1(through the port near CD-drive):
time it took to trasfer 6.99GB worth of files: 10mins 2 secs
so,
Average time it takes to transfer 1 GB: 85.7 Secs
Average speed:11.6MB/sec
Time it took to delete this data:~5 Secs
