better

I'm feeling much better now:) As expected, being around with ppl kinda gives me a lot more energy.:)

i shall wait for you to contact me:)
sometimes, things aren't so wrong, as they may seem to be...

EP1

read it if you can figure out some way to do so.
hey n, I should have blogged this down quite some time ago, but either I was too lazy to, or maybe I thought that it would all just turn out fine. but No, it didn't. i've been emo-ing for like 3 days now. Eeeemmmooooo... it has gotten kinda worse today; think i'm having a fever now. yet, i know that it'll all turn out just fine, when the time comes...to maintain confidentiality, i'm not going to publish the post; just gonna save it as a draft..Zipping it forever.
there's only one I. me. go figure.
I would like to thank Amal for reminding me of this song: (I used to listen to it a long time ago, but it appeals to me...):

When the visions around you
Bring tears to your eyes
And all that surround you
Are secrets and lies
I'll be your strength
I'll give you hope
Keeping your faith when it's gone
The one you should call
Was standing here all along

And I will take
You in my arms
And hold you right where you belong
'Til the day my life is through
This I promise you
This I promise you

I've loved you forever
In lifetimes before
And I promise you never
Will you hurt anymore
I give you my word
I give you my heart (Give you my heart)
This is a battle we've won
And with this vow
Forever has now begun

Just close your eyes (Close your eyes)
Each loving day (Each loving day)
I know this feeling won't go away (No)
'Til the day my life is through
This I promise you
This I promise you

Over and over I fall (Over and over I fall)
When I hear you call
Without you in my life baby
I just wouldn't be living at all

And I will take (I will take you in my arms)
You in my arms
And hold you right where you belong (Right where you belong)
'Til the day my life is through
This I promise you baby

Just close your eyes
Each loving day (Each loving day)
I know this feeling won't go away (No)
Every word I say is true
This I promise you

Every word I say is true
This I promise you
Ooh, I promise you
Today, i had my NUS medical check-up. I met some engineering ppl there and made friend, since i won't have that much time once lessons start. I tried to come back to ny by 2, so that i can help some of my juniors in their physics, but i couldn't:( The queues were quite long. There were queues to get registered, for height & weight thing, x-ray, consultation with the doctor, to check blood pressure, and so on. k la... i should have gone there earlier, like i advised my firiend, who'll be going tmr (fri). Here are some of the numbers that i remember: My height: 178 cm (it's 180, if i have my shoe on:P ) My weight: 63.5kg( Well, not too heavy, for a guy). My heart beat: 61 per minute (haha... i tried to control it as much as i can by relaxing, but ya.. it's a very healthy number. My target is for it to go below 60).

error

listen to this...
i just compiled a c++ code that i wrote on exception handling. It only has 25 lines and guess how many errors came up: 26.

guess the last error that came up:
"... Too many error or warning messages". super legend... really looks like one of friends' type of jokes... haha...

the end

My c-language course is going to end;there's only one more lesson left. I'm so glad:)
My ogl called me up yesterday and we had a pretty interesting conversation. We are going to have a pre-camp og meeting on 1st july!! so exiting, right? and to add to that, we can stay overnight too...
now for other stuff:

Running updates: I'm going to stop doing 10km, for the time being. I'm going to work on my 2.4, to make myself more used to higher speeds. I'll do a 2.4km below 10min before going on to continue on my 10km runs.

June 24, 2007

Just went for a 10km run... The ny ppl will be having their mid yrs tommorrow. Good Luck to you all!:) I'll see if i have time to come in to help you all for your prelims and A-levels :) :D

I'll be going for the NUS Union Camp.think it's on the 2nd week of july. Wah, time flies so fast...

I ran a 10km today. I had to stop and walk the last ~1km, since i was quite dehydrated-my mouth was quite dry and i started having headaches... But i'm okay now:)

just a randow thought: It'ld be really useful and neat if frienster starts to enable its users to organise thier friends into groups...

June 22, 2007

wah.. today's evening nyjc session was super packed... still working on some questions... have to do my c-language homework as well:(

June 21, 2007

I went down to ny on tue, wed & fri... My leg, surprisingly, still has not recovered from the run on sunday(ithink)... I planned to run a 2.4km in school today, but didn't have the time:( Guess i'll have to try run tmr, since i'll not be going for my c-lang lesson. omg, i've been going for my c-lang lesson everyday of this week so far...super exhausting, esp when i'm asked to come up with programs on the spot. I've also been trying to meet up with my old secondary school friend, but that'll be on next week, i think.
i just want to see if i can still do a 2.4 within 10min... And also, my pull-up standard has seriously gone down: i now can only do 3 at a go, have to improve.Also, i managed to differentiate(calculus) expression that i've been trying to differentiate for quite a long time. i'll post the picture later. yup, i guess that's all for now.

i was there to solve problems,
not create them;
maybe i've misunderstood.

it's too late to blog... i'm going to sleep... ZZZZZZZzzZzZzZ

17th june:)

Superb 10km run. There were not anyone on the pavements along my path for me to pace with this time, but my timing was better and i felt that i was running faster too. haha... but i didn't make it below 1h-though i tried to. My timing was 1h and 03 mins, for the 10km. Well, if you just minus off the time wasted away in those traffic lights, it would be 1 hour;but those were really valuable breaks, where i got to catch my breath and stretch. One of the things that surprised me was that there was practically no one at bishan park! Usually it would be filled with people playing soccer, running, cycling, picnicking, exercising, watching the dogs' race and so on... but this time, i only came across abt 7 people, scattered around the 2 bishan parks. Maybe it's because there were those dark clouds, but i somehow knew that it would not rain, and it didn't :). No rain, No sun, But got wind: perfect for running=)
Today's weather is very fine for running - i'm going to try to do a 10km below 1h... Have to hydrate myself first:)

sdfsdflsdkg

wah... still super busy... a lot of house work n stuff... but here are the good news:
1. MY c-lang course is going to over in abt 3 weeks!!! =)
2.I'll be starting my driving practical lessons soon:) can't wait to get my hands on that steering wheel;)
3. My student pass stuff are going to be pretty much settled after today, NUS'll take care of it, after i submit the form:)
that's abt all for now...

June 13, 2007

Yesterday was another super-tiring day. I had programming lesson in the morning. Then, i came back home to help my mom do some cooking, after which i went to nyjc. There were a lot of 29th there!!! They really filled one whole classroom, i was quite surprised at the turnout. Well, this time, i didn't face any difficult chem questions... haha...I can handle most of the maths and physics one, but only abt 60% of the chem questions. But my summary notes(which i dug up) seem to help me a lot.
Also, this morning, i realised that i've fully recovered from the 10km run last saturday. So, that's about 3.5 days... I should have another run, when i'm free. Tmr, i'll be going to NUS, to enquire about my student pass procedures, after which i'll need to do some driving lesson stuffs. After which (hopefully i've time...) i'll visit nyjc.
YaY!! For the first time in a few months i'll be going to NUS on a weekday!!! Which means that the canteens will be OPEN!!!:):):D

11th june-Tiring day...

What a tiring day.... Today i woke up at 7am, and till now, i've been packed with stuff to do. Laundry, room-cleaning, sweeping and mopping, cooking, doing the dishes... And i had to bring my mom for her sgh appt in the afternoon.Although it was super cheap, the waiting times were quite long.I've pushed today's comp lesson to tmr and i'll be going to nyjc after that=)

good run

I had quite a good run yesterday-I went down, and saw a group of dark clouds over me. So, i had to get it done quick. There was this army person just passing me and i decided to keep to his pace. Well, his pace was a bit too fast and as i was approaching the u-turn mark near upp. thomson road, i noticed that my throat-the part of it that is just above the bottom of my neck was feeling super hot inside. Well, i had this before, when i was trying a 2.4 km at ny. I didn't care too much about it and went on to finish my run. After some thinking, i'm now thinking that it may be becouse of eating too much spicy stuff at my lunch, 3hrs before that run. My timing was 1h13mins56secs. Very bad. I've now realised that my leg's stamina gets worse if i don't keep on running...

June 9, 2007

I've been quite busy this week- Have been having consultation with my NY Juniors:) wah... 230pm to abt 7 on wednesday and 215 to 10pm on friday.. But it's very fun helping them:)
My C-lang course just started on c++; which means that i'm half way through! I'm going off for a 10km run now.

June 5, 2007

okay, today, i passed my basic thoery test(driving) and my advanced final theory trial test. So, i booked for my final theory test:) Just finished my c-language homework: fibonacci series in a recursive loop:

#include
main()
{int fibo(int n);
int fib, n;
clrscr();
printf("\n\nFibonacci Series:");
printf("\nEnter the number of term to show");
scanf("%d", &n);
fib=fibo(n);
printf("The number is %d", fib);
getch();
return(0);}
int fibo(int n)

{if(n==1n==2)
{return(1);}
else{return fibo(n-1)+fibo(n-2);}}

It's such a weird hour to blog... i slept in the evening...

Day 1 part 2

There was this Narita express which brought us from the airport to a place called Shinjuku. The train was quite fast at times, making its way through both farms and commertial areas. Then, we had to get another ticket and transfer to a local train. We looked quite lost at the train stations and we had to approach the counter staff everytime we wanted to buy tickets.
At last, we managed to reach our own train station, together with all our luggages(which were miraculously squeezed in to the packed trains).After reaching, we had to make our way to the hotel.

Well, we asked the station staff, who kindly pointed in a particular direction (language barrier;so that's like the best he could do for us). After walking for some time, we got lost and my mom asked this lady who was walking in a hurry to the station. What impressed ma was that although she was in such a hurry, she willingly stopped and gave us directions! So, we got to the hotel, eventually. Most of us were quite tired from all the travelling.
Then, we spent about 5 minutes trying to draw diagrams of rooms(and stick men) in order to enquire more, although we'd already booked our rooms. Well, the rest of the day was simply spent in the room, bathing, brushing our teeth, having our meal and resting. Finally, at about 7, we went out to look around the neighbourhood of the hotel.
It is then i came to realise that it's really hard to live in that area, if you don't know japanese.
Now for pictures!

Me standing along our room's corridor.

Me on my cosy bed. I wish i can sleep on it everyday:)
Cold air comes in from the window and warm air from the aircon(at night).

View of a street from the hotel room. note that they have these zebra linings when there's traffic light.Oh ya... and a lot of them travel around in bicycles. It's really a lot of them.

Radio and switch controls near the bed.

Thank God; The numbers are not in Japanese:)

Japan Trip: Day 1, part 1

First day... We went to Changi Airport, after miraculously managing to finish our packing up. Once we reached, we met up with the others and did our check-in. I had to check my our luggage, to see if my mom was trying to sneak in any liquids, gels or blah, blah blah.. Well, it wasn't long before i manages to spot peanut butter bottle and moisturisers. We had to check in those which could carry more than 100ml. Well, rather than this 'liquidy' restriction, which is now practiced in many international airports, i think it's better to check every single 'liquidy' stuff that is not checked in . It should cost around the same, since there'll be no need to distribute free zip-lock bags and hire staff to do that.

Then, after boarding, i was quite disappointed that our plane doesn't have that personal entertainment system that i got to enjoy on my New Zealand trip (On Singapore Airlines), back when i was in Secondary 4. Till this day, it has been the best 'flying' experience that I've ever had!! They even had ice cream on board, together with tasty cheese biscuits to go with the latest movies, albums, games, MATH questions to solve... Seriously, i can't ask for more... Although i really enjoyed my time New Zealand, i do agree with a lot of my travel mates who commented that the SIA Boeing aircraft offered the best staying experience in the entire journey.

Well, back to my japan trip: All i have to say is that i pretty much enjoyed their radio channels, which the airlines i traveled to India in didn't offer. Well, after about 2 hrs, we landed in Bangkok.

I remember studying about some airport in Thailand and the competition it poses to the Changi Airport, but this time, i got to see for myself how good it was. It was really big with wonderful architechture, a lot of shops and so on. Well, in the 2 hrs that we had in the transit, we spent about an hour just strolling to our depature place, taking photos along that way and so on... here are some: There were a lot of people taking photo at this spot...

Then, after a longer trip (about 6hrs) and some problems on the meals we ordered( cos our travels agency didn't do their job well) we arrived at the tokyo airport. As ususal, there was this long immigration queue to get through. Collecting our baggage was okay, the trolleys were not really available nearby, but the toilets were nice, though.

Next, we decided to take a train to our destination( we had a choice of limousine bus too), since we felt that it was a must to experience those speedy trains in japan.
